Create an Elevated Dining Experience
Can’t get enough of the summer outdoor dining restaurant experience but your budget says “No more?”
One of my favorite summer pleasures is dining outside with friends and families in the fresh air and sunshine. There’s just something about it that feels like an endless evening. Although it’s not possible to dine out every night, it is easy to recreate those restaurant vibes with these at-home outdoor dining tips:
Set The Mood
String up patio lights, light a few candles, put out a spray of flowers, set the table in advance, and get that playlist going. Make things cozy with pillows, throw blankets, and an outdoor rug. Plant some herbs in small pots that can be easily accessed to add extra flavor to your dishes.
Think Beyond The Deck or Patio
Got a breezy shady spot in the back but no outdoor dining table there? Don’t be afraid to move your seating temporarily for a cooler, more comfortable experience. Your outdoor rug to define the new eating space as well as provide some added color and texture. Use battery powered LED lights and candles to create an ambient setting that won’t compete with the stars.
Put It All On The Table
One of the best things about eating out (besides no dishes!) is not having to get up and down, up and down, up and down. Bring that home by setting everything out at once—silverware, plates, glassware, napkins, drinks, ice, bread, appetizers, and salads. Once you’ve gotten comfortable, you’re not going to want to get back up!
The outdoor dining experience in a relaxing setting is one of the dreamiest things about summer. Make it a regular part of your week with these at-home dining al fresco tips. Share with a friend or group of friends and create lasting summer memories!
