Think Outside the Tub with A MrSteam Shower

I know what you’re thinking because I used to think it too.  Steam bathing sounds like an indulgence, a spa experience, but it’s not. Just like a healthy diet and 30 minutes a day of exercise, spending time in a steam bath is another way to take care of your mind and body. I’m asking you to think outside the tub … come join me. Will you?

Wellness is no longer a luxury, it’s a part of our daily care and well being. You may be thinking that steam showers are a wonderful way to relax, but they are so much more. There are so many ways a daily steam shower can make you feel better.

The obvious is that it releases stress, but it also opens your nasal passages to alleviate allergies and improves circulation. It’s also good for the athlete in your home as it loosens stiff muscles, reduces soreness, and helps break down lactic acid in the muscles. You’re probably well acquainted with how a steam facial opens your pores and allows for a deep cleanse, but did you know it can also make for a smoother shave? It’s true – smooth as a baby’s bottom!

Steam bathing is nearly as old as recorded history and has roots all around the world. One of my own favorite steam experiences was in a natural thermogenic pool in Iceland that dated back to 1136! They also use natural hot spring to steam bathe in Japan. In the US, Native Americans build sweat lodges to sit in for purifying the body and spirit.

If you’re planning on a bathroom renovation, now is the time to plan for a steam. A small MrSteam generator can fit inside the shower bench and a full height glass enclosure can hold the steam in.

Are you inspired by all the Smart Home Technology I’ve been talking about? It’s also as easy as commanding “Alexa, ask MrSteam to start the steam bath.” The MrSteam residential steam shower systems also work with Amazon Alexa when SteamLinx is installed.
